The list of the events funded with the first round of the new program was just sent out by Explore MN. If you have not seen it, here is the link. Hopefully this will give you ideas going forward to expand event experiences in your community.
This pilot grant program began with $673,000 in available funds, all of which was awarded to a total of 22 new events (14 in greater Minnesota and eight in the seven-county metro area).
The legislature voted to expand the new grants program for the next biennium to $900,000. The bill stipulates that the funds be available until June 30, 2021. New grant guidelines and applications will be available in mid-August.
