MACVB is a professional society for individual bureaus and organizations whose primary objective is to promote their respective areas as convention, visitor and group meeting destination.

The association meets at least three times each year. The primary function of MACVB is educational and legislative action at the state level, and networking for sharing of knowledge and information.

The dues structure is a based on a sliding scale determined by the size of the annual cvb budget.
