Tuesday, June 4, 2019

1:00 p.m.     Registration/early arrivers’ networking/sponsor showcase opens

1:30 p.m.     Welcome/Opening Remarks

1:45 p.m.     Building Brands & Budgets Through Partnerships

Description: A unique opportunity to learn what works (and what doesn’t) through the eyes, ears and experiences of your peers.  Through demonstrations of best practices and real world, working partnerships, you’ll see how developing partnerships can enhance your brand and expand your marketing budget.

Bring your own examples of partnerships that are working in your community….we know you have them and appreciate you sharing how you develop partnerships that expand your brand and your budget.

5:00 p.m.     Adjourn for Social Hour, Networking, Dinner & Entertainment:

The North Shore Winery and Sawtooth Mountain Cider House are a recent gem added to the North Shore’s must-stop list in 2016. Serving wines crafted from California grapes, ciders made from MN apples and local pure maple syrup, and home brewed root beer on tap, there’s something to delight every palate. At this time of year they are bottling new batches of wine so there’s lots to chat with the owners about on site!

After our sip-sational happy hour, we will head to Lutsen Mountains to board the only mountain-side gondola in the Midwest. Small groups will float over the beautiful Poplar River Valley and climb a hold-your-breath cliff face to the top. Once atop we stroll the decks with breathtaking Lake Superior views, the largest panoramas of the sea-sized lake available on land. Be sure to leave time for selfies with that powerful backdrop!

As we indulge in Taco Tuesday at the Summit Chalet, a favorite local musician Timmy Haus will delight us with his eclectic-acoustic mix of covers from 90’s alt to Johnny Cash to today’s top hits. Timmy’s savant-style musicianship and mischievous smile produce a contagious energy and boundless fun.

After a twilight ride back in the gondola we will return to Bluefin Bay Resort where we can continue to socialize at Bluefin Grille or be dropped off for the night. Shuttles will run from Bluefin Grille to off-site rooms until the Grille closes.

Wednesday, June 5, 2019 (Note, breakfast on your own)

9:00 a.m.     Two Roundtable Sessions:
CEO/Executive Roundtable
Staff (Sales, Marketing, Admin) Roundtable

Description: Best practices are best shared among your peers.  Choose the session that fits your role!

10:15 a.m.     It’s About the Big Picture

Description: The morning session will demonstrate that there is a big picture to keep your eye on.  Things like decisions made at the Capitol and how that will impact tourism and our organizations; technology advances (like Google) that create both new opportunities and challenges; compensation and benefits benchmarks.  This session promises to give you new ways to look at how you do business and how you fulfill your mission.

Noon          Lunch, Learn and Make Connections

Description: There’s always plenty to talk about — meet new folks — develop new relationships — give a pat on the back — find a mentor — over a delicious lunch!

1:15 p.m.     Journey home![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
